The purpose of the YYC Living Room Series is to feature local musicians and speakers in Calgary as well as to bring people together with different lives and backgrounds into an environment to discuss engaging topics and ideas.

In the advent of the digital age, it is easy to get caught up in the latest celebrity gossip, political scandal or what Trump said on Twitter last night.

Let's bring back the days where substantive ideas are discussed and shared in person and where music is expressed in its purest form without the cacophony of background noise and special effects.

The YYC Living Room Series is inspired by 18th century French salons where a cross-section of society would gather to discuss ideas and share their passion for the arts. Through this event, we hope to gather people with different lives, choices and perspectives to expand everyone's perspective using words and music.
